Information on the emergency plan according to the benchmark regulation
Santander Consumer Bank AG, as a supervised entity, is subject to the Benchmark Regulation (BMR - Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2016 on indices used as benchmarks in financial instruments and financial contracts). Pursuant to Art. 28 (2) sentences 1 and 2 BMR, supervised entities using benchmarks must establish and maintain robust written plans outlining actions they would take if a benchmark materially changes or ceases to be provided and inform their clients accordingly.
Information on the intragroup exemption of margin requirements related to the European Market Infrastructure Regulation
Following the submission of the intragroup exemption of margin requirements request between Santander Consumer Bank AG and Banco Santander S.A. to their local authorities, BaFin (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht) and CNMV (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores) have decided in a positive way.
